Gus has been involved in the graphics industry for over 40 years. He started as a 16-year-old apprentice with a large midlands newspaper and ended that period of his career as production manager, having worked and gained experience in almost every aspect of the industry. He established Ammac Design in 1991 and has watched it grow and develop into a successful mid-size agency.
In what little spare time he has he is passionate about rugby and theatre, the former as a spectator only. He has been, and still is, known to strut his stuff across the stage, and is a director at one of the country’s leading amateur theatres.
Beccy joined Ammac in 1999 following a graphic design course at Mid-Warwickshire College. She worked her way up from trainee dogsbody to the position she holds now as Senior Designer. With an excellent eye for design, a deep passion for the job and also being a bit of a perfectionist, Beccy can bring your ideas to life – and she’ll do it with a smile too! In her spare time she loves painting, drawing, reading, going for walks and socialising with friends and family.
Mary worked for a number of years as business manager/administrator and uses those skills in keeping Ammac’s books straight and motivating – as she calls it – the staff into greater and more productive efforts.
She is also a LAMDA drama teacher and shares her husband’s passion for Munster rugby and theatre (where they met nearly 35 years ago). She acts and directs, and is a founder member of Tír na nÓg Theatre Company, which takes small scale professional productions of Irish theatre on tour in the Midlands, Cotswolds and Ireland.
After 20 years as a software engineer in the telecoms industry, Phil decided it was time for a change and in 2002 he became a self-employed supplier of media development skills to a range of clients. Foremost among these is Ammac for whom he has been providing freelance typesetting and proofreading services since 2004. Outside work he
can usually be found acting or directing at Leamington’s renowned Loft Theatre, where he first met Gus more years ago than either of them likes to admit!
